3 posts in one day!!

I really don't know why I did three posts all in one day, but here they are! This one is about Chris's graduation day! We both graduated in December, but he didn't walk until April. He graduated with a Bachelor's of History and a minor in Classics. He got into the Master's program at University of Chicago and he starts October 1st. Hopefully he gets into their Ph.D program in a couple years so we don't have to move again! Here are some pics of graduation day:)

A post of projects...

Well I have done a few random projects over the past little while that I want to post about so I don't forget. Now that I am out of school and don't have to study every second, I have some time to do things when Trey goes to bed. Here are just a few things I have done, I maybe even did some of them while I was still in school, who knows! Still so many things to do, but here is a start:)
I covered a plain white lamp shade with some fabric I found online. Love the fabric!
I made a car seat cover for Melissa's baby girl, Avrie. I also made one for Jackie's baby boy but I forgot to take a picture:( They each picked the fabric they wanted.
I just painted some frames and put Trey's baby silhouette and Chris's baby silhouette in them. Cute boys:)
Holy crap. Painting furniture is so much work!! I painted two of my bar stools light blue. The other two are in my garage at this very moment, being painted white. I am really going to try to finish them this weekend!!
I saw this fabric on sale at Hancock and thought it would make a cute pillow. I think it did!
Bibs. I made these reversible bibs for two of my sisters and two of my friends. I don't have pictures of the boy ones though:( I got the tutorial online.
These are just canvas's I bought at Joann's. I covered them with fabric and secured with a staple gun. Easiest project I have ever done!
I found this desk at Gardner Village and thought it would make a perfect sewing table! I love having my own spot in my room to sew:) I had an idea of what I wanted for a chair but the only close one I found was $95 dollars at a consignment store. So I found this at DI for about 15 dollars and just spray painted it cream. I was going to cover the seat but I ended up liking the wicker.
Pillow and cribskirt for Jackie's nursery. (Didn't she do a great job!) Jackie chose the fabric and asked me to make her a pillow and cribskirt. Pillow was no problem, cribskirt scared me! It actually isn't too bad, but I'm not good with large measurements. It turned out to be ok though, now we just need baby Jax to come!
Maxi skirt. I found a tutorial on a blog that I have been wanting to try forever. I didn't think I could do it without a serger, but I tried and it worked! I did order a serger, I'm just waiting for it to come and then I'll have to learn how to use it! I plan on making a few more once I get the hang of the serger, and sewing with knit:) (You should know this was my third attempt, I failed twice before!) Sorry, that was alot of pictures! I'm glad I am mostly caught up I think, next I just need to finish those white barstools!

Trey turns two and Easter!

Trey turned two on April 7th, the day before Easter. We started the day off with a nice little Easter egg hunt in Cedar Hills with Melissa, Trevan and Asher. Later we had a little family birthday party at the clubhouse. He was so excited for his birthday party! He loves playing with his cousins and he loved his presents:) I can't believe my baby is already two!!!! I love this little boy so much, he makes me the happiest!

My baby boy.

Trey will be 2 in April! I can't believe how fast time goes. I just want to write a little bit about this sweet little boy of mine. He has the cutest little personality! He loves his family, going on walks, playing with rocks, reading books, flashcards, playing with cars, stacking blocks, throwing Tonka's ball, water, balls, bubbles, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, counting, playing with wood chips, crackers, etc. Ever since we went on our Disney vacation in December Trey just started talking like crazy!! Here are some of the things he says the most:

"Whoa!!!!!"

"Hokay!" -meaning OK

"Wishous!" -delicious

"Nummy!" -yummy.

"Watner" -water (sometimes he says it right:)

"Mommy going/doing/coming?" -this isn't always mommy, it is about anyone he was with:)

"Ta-ah" -Tonka.

"Ho-No!" -oh no

"I don't know?" -he usually says it like he is asking a question

"Sehmen" -that is how he says seven and I love it! (he can count all the way to thirteen, then he says fifteen, nineteen and twenty.)

"Beeg.....!" -that is what it sounds like when he says big, and he says everything is big. Like, big car! Big tree! Big rock!

"WOW!!" -he says wow all day!

"Mazing!" -amazing

"Come on!"

"Tank you"

"Pease"

Trey has started to copy words we say really well. It amazes me everyday hearing new words come out of his mouth! I just love him more than anything:)

Long overdue post!

What the! I haven't posted for so long!! I am going to try to start blogging a lot more now so that at the end of the year I can just make one of those books of all my posts, so it's kind of like a journal. I suck at keeping a journal, so we will see how this goes. I will have more time now because I graduated!!! I graduated on Dec. 12, 2011. I am now a real dental hygienist!! It is the best feeling in the world to be out of school and know that I passed all those ridiculous board exams! Good good feeling:)
For Christmas my amazing in-laws took us all to Disney World and then on a Disney cruise! It was a much needed vacation and it was so awesome!! Trey loved it, we all loved it! The new year has been great being able to spend so much time with Trey and not having to study anymore. I am back working at my old office where I was an assistant before school. Just one and a half days a week right now, but pretty soon I will be working 3-4 days a week. It will be good to start paying off those student loans, I will miss all this time with my baby though!!
Chris also graduated in December and has applied to some graduate schools. He will find out in March what schools he gets into and then we will have a large decision to make. Where to go. I will talk about that when the time comes:/
Anyway! Right now I am just so relieved and happy to be out of school, working at the best office in the world, and spending more time with my little fam! Oh, I also decided I'm not going to post my sewing or craft projects on the other blog, it's hard enough keeping up with one blog! So I will write about them here again, just to keep track:)
This post is outrageously long, I'm sorry about that! Here are some random pictures of the last few months, not nearly enough to cover what has happened, but a small taste I guess. So for the few of you who may read my blog (Jackie? Jamie? Jen?...), here are some pictures you have probably already seen:) I'll post again soon!! Don't let me slack!

A few pictures from graduation:

Our Christmas card (pictures taken by Jackie)

Some pictures from the cruise. I will probably make a separate post and add more:) Trey was very good at giving kisses to the characters!

Best icecream bars ever! Mickey bars.
